About the route
An easy route from Slavske to Vyshkiv through the local mountains. It is possible to complete it in a day, but for a first overnight hike it is better to split it into two days. You can also go in the opposite direction.
From Slavske, the route climbs to Pohar, then passes through Ukhrad, Plai and Yaroshyshche. Near Yaroshyshche there is a clearing with a table where you can pitch a tent. The nearby kolyba is in poor condition, but it may serve as shelter from heavy rain. After Plai, the road may be damaged by tractors and muddy in places.
The route then goes through Pysana Krynytsia, Zvorets, Vysokyi Verkh, Yalyna, Tovstyi Zholob, Rivnyi and Chorna Ripa. At Pysana Krynytsia there is clean water and rock drawings. It is worth filling up with water here: the next springs are farther along the ridge. Near the tourist shelter there is water, level places for tents and a clearing with a table.
