Polonyna Borzhava from Volovets to Pylypets

The route starts in Volovets and leads to Polonyna Borzhava. First there is an ascent via Mount Kakovets, followed by several springs and rest spots. Near the ruins of an old cheese dairy, it is possible to camp; water is available nearby. The route then reaches Mount Play (1,323 m), passes Mala Hymba (1,416 m) and descends towards Pylypets. As an option, this route can be done with an overnight stay: there are tent spots on the ridge and lower down, near the springs. Pay attention to water. Springs along the route are marked, but there may be water shortages during dry periods, so it is better to fill up in advance. There is sometimes litter and seasonal camps near some springs and campsites. At the end of the route, you can visit Shypit Waterfall.
