About the route
Start in Kvasy, finish in Chorna Tysa. The route can also be done in reverse. You can also reach Svydivets from Yasinia via Drahobrat. Svydivets routes intersect near Mount Stih.
From Kvasy, the route goes up to the Braivka meadow, then passes through Blyznytsia (1872 m), Velyka Blyznytsia (1883 m), Zhandarmy, Krachunieska, Velykyi Kotel, Troiaska and Tataruka. There are springs and tent spots on Svydivets, including near the Braivka meadow and below Mount Stih. There is also water and camping spots near Ripta.
Then the Gorgany begin: Velyka Bratkivska (1788 m), Mala Bratkivska, Ruska and Chorna Kleva (1719 m), after which the route descends to Chorna Tysa. In the Gorgany section, do not rely on water being available at every marked spring. Before Chorna Kleva, do not take the traverse: the path to the summit may not be very visible, but the traverse leads into dense brush. The descent from Velyka Bratkivska to Okole Pass is steep.
Note: there may be sheepdogs at the Ripta meadow, so be careful near the flock. The hike is planned for 3 days with two overnight stays, but because of the long ascents, dwarf pine and the more difficult Gorgany section, it is better to allow extra time.
