About the route
The route starts at the Kryvopil Pass and follows a loop to the Kostrych ridge. At first, the road passes Mount Makovytsia (1,147 m) and a cheese dairy. There are several springs further on, so water can be collected along the way.
There is a place for tents on the Vesnarka meadow. The spring here is lower down, and water may be scarce at other nearby spots. The route then reaches Kostrych (1,589 m), with views of the Chornohora range.
As an option, the route can be done with an overnight stay. Near the summit, in the forest, there is space for several tents and a campfire, but water must be collected lower down on the traverse. On the way back, there is also a spring and a rest spot in the forest by a stream.
