Ecotourism route - On Sokolin Berdo

The route passes through the territory of the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve. It starts outside settlements, on the side of the Uzhhorod—Rakhiv road. At first the trail goes through forest along the Kuziy stream to the Sokolin Berdo cliff, through beech primeval forests protected by UNESCO. Along the way there is a small waterfall and two closed adits left after geological surveys. It is not worth going inside: the supports there have rotted. Bats are sometimes found in the adits. From Sokolin Berdo the route goes over Polonska peak, 1080 m, and then descends to the village of Dilove. Please note: from the Dilove side the trail can be hard to find because of bushes and stones under leaves. It is better to have a navigator.
