West Svydivets. Ust Chorna - Lopukhiv

A hike through the western part of the Svydivets massif. It starts in the village of Ust Chorna and finishes in Lopukhiv. The route can also be done in reverse, from Lopukhiv to Ust Chorna. From Ust Chorna the route climbs over the mountains Kokhannia and Stohy, then follows the ridge through Shpanska, Tempa (1634 m), Velyka Kurtiaska (1621 m) and Pidpula (1634 m). On the descent it passes over Berliaska and Svydova. There is a spring near Svydova. This part of Svydivets is less popular than the route towards Blyznytsi. That area has better transport connections and is home to the highest peaks of the massif.
