About the route
An easy route for a first hike in the mountains near Yaremche. From the town, the trail leads through the Dovbush Rocks; further on, there is a viewpoint with a swing and a statue of the Virgin Mary. You can take a break along the way.
Mount Makovytsia is 984 m high. From the summit, you can see Yaremche and the surrounding mountains. After the summit, there is a small spot for one tent on the route, but it is in a hollow, so it is not suitable in rainy weather.
The descent passes the oldest tree on Mount Slon, followed by a gazebo and a viewpoint. The route ends near the Probii Waterfall. Please note: the trail via the oldest tree may be more difficult, with stones, rocks and an overgrown section in places. Alternatively, you can return from Mount Makovytsia via the Dovbush Rocks.
