Chivchin from Shibeny

A hike in the Chivchin Mountains from the village of Shibeny to the highest peak of the massif — Mount Chivchin, 1766 m. The route runs along the Ukrainian-Romanian border. From the border guard post in Shibeny, the route climbs to the ridge. It then passes the peaks of Rohy, Kernychnyi, Furatyk, Ledeskul, Borshutyk, Velyka Budychevska, Kukulyk and Chivchynash. The route finishes on Chivchin. Please note. Permission from the Ukrainian border guards is required for this hike. A passport is required at the border guard post in Shibeny. The distance is given one way, so the return journey must be taken into account. Plan 3–4 days for the hike there and back.
