About the route
The route starts in Lazeshchyna and leads to Petros via Kozmeshchyk. Along the way there is a waterfall, springs and a cemetery of First World War soldiers. You can rest near Kozmeshchyk, then the route heads towards the meadows below Petros.
There is enough water on the route: springs can be found near Kozmeshchyk, the shepherds' huts and below the mountain itself. For an overnight stay, the spots on the meadows below Petros are suitable; in particular, there are several sites for 2–4 tents and a larger campsite closer to the upper part of the route. You can shelter from the rain near the huts, but a hut is no substitute for warm gear.
The forest section follows a rocky road, and the markings may be faint in places. The upper part of the ascent to Petros is rocky and steeper. It is worth filling up with water before heading to the summit, although springs can also be found higher up.
