Mount Tapesh near Kolochava

The route starts in Kolochava. At the beginning you can see one of the bunkers and other Árpád Line fortifications from the Second World War. The path then leads uphill to a shepherd's hut. The hut has two sleeping platforms for 2–3 people. As of October 2024 it was open, but the wood stove was not working because there is no chimney. Before the summit the route emerges onto a meadow near Tapesh. From Mount Tapesh you can see the surrounding Carpathian ranges and the Tereble-Rika Reservoir. Please note: after the summit towards Mereshòr the trail may be overgrown or not visible at all. Do not rely on this section as a reliable loop continuation; it is better to have a GPS device and be ready to return the same way.
